Looking for a dalmatianspuppy?

Though there are many Dalmatian litters in Estonia, it isn’t
easy to find yourself a new family member and good puppy.
There are many things to consider, before you go and buy yourself
a Dalmatian puppy. For example, you should think of these
things:
· Is this the right breed for me? (Dalmatian is a friendly
dog and suits for a family dog and hobby dog, but definitely
is the wrong choice for person, who’s looking for a
guard dog in the yard or a dog who doesn’t need much
activity)
· Is this the right litter for me? (though the breed
is the same, two Dalmatian can still be very different by
their character and looks). Use the possibility to ask about
the parents.
· Is it the right time for me to take a puppy?
Things one must consider:
- financial expenses (quality food, maintenance costs, vaccinations,
trainings etc)
- time expenses (dog needs training, regular walks, socialisation
and good raising to become a good member of the society)
- responsibility (!!! – dog owner is responsible for
his/her dog in any circumstances. Find your neighbourhood
law for it to read).
How about different breeders? How to choose?

When you have decided:
Get in touch with the breeder and introduce yourself, discribe
what kind of dog are you interested in and be sure to mention,
if you’re looking for a puppy for any hobby: obedience,
hunting, agility, dog shows or maybe possibly breeding in
future? Litters are different and puppies tend to have different
presumptions in looks and character. For example: when you’re
looking for a show dog, the breeder can quite soon start to
test the puppies for the best show dog instincts and stud
dog qualities.
Above all they are all home pets and usually people buy the
puppy promising “oh, no, we’re not going to the
dog shows”. They get interested in show activity, when
dog is couple years old and the feeling comes “why don’t
we go to a dog show once?”
You should know that getting a good puppy might also mean
waiting for a while.
When you want a puppy from our kennel:
Contact us soon and introduce your plans and tell us, what
kind of family member are you looking for.
We prefer to keep the mother and puppies in privacy for the
first 3-4 weeks to guarantee them the peace needed.
When puppies have the eyes and ears open and they already
learn to walk, then you’re welcomed to meet them. When
you have decided to take the puppy from that litter, we sign
the pre-contract and agree about the advance payment. Pre-contract
obligates both parties, which means that you will have the
puppy booked from this litter and in case you disclaim the
puppy, the advance payment won’t be returned.
When you come to see the puppies, then we’ll talk about
the preparations to be made before puppy comes home. We talk
about taking care of your puppy, feeding, moving and training.
You also get our kennel’s instructions in paper.
Puppies are raised in home, with other dogs.
If possible, we do the Campbell puppy test, which should describe
their character, presumptions to be trained and the preferable
family where they should go.
Remember that buying a puppy is a serious decision
and that’s why our puppies won’t be given to people
by the principle “the first one gets it”. We try
to search the best possible family for each puppy, originated
from the puppy test and future-owners-to-be expectations.
Eventually and hopefully the dog lives in that family next
10-14 years and dog, who’s character won’t suit
with the family’s character or who needs different kind
of activity than the family offers, is unhappy and so are
the owners.
We wish that our puppy owners keep us informed
about what has became of their puppy and how they grow. Come
to see us and show yourself and let us know about all the
show and competition results, little troubles and joys :)
Always ask for help! If needed and possible I can help with
handling, elementary training and show training.
Puppies will have their first vaccination(s)
and worm-preventions in kennel.
They'll have:

· instructions in paper how to feed and take care of
your puppy
· Estonian Kennel Union contract
· Estonian Kennel Union Registration Certification
· Veterinary Passport
· microchip
· Veterinary’s certify proving that the puppy
is healthy
· a little toy
· a little bit puppy food for a start
To the contract of buying the puppy I add the
requirement: at the age of 1-2 years dog must have his/her
hips and elbows examined. This is done becouse we want to
fight against preliminary diseases and all informations about
our dogs health is needed. That is also required from all
dogs to which the puppies are planned.
We advise to inssurance your puppy. In Estonia
you can ask more information at the phone +372 50 97 205 (Sirje).
